WHEN WAS POLO INVENTED? ,

Polo is a ball game that resemble  the rules that are used in hockey. But the team members play o horseback. The object of the game is to drive a ball through the opponents' goal posts.

Polo originated about 4,000 years ago in Persia, which is now Iran. But the modern game start in 1862 in Punjab, India, when a group of British officers copied the sport from some tribal horsemen. The game was introduced in England in 1869. Polo was first played in America at the New York City Dickel's

Riding Academy in 1876. The match was held in an indoor arena and polo continued as an indoor sport until 1880, when outdoor competition was introduced.
