The animal kingdom is classified by the zoologists and the job is far from finished. We know that there are 15,000 different ants and a quarter million different beetles. So far, we can identify more than 600,000 different insects   but some experts estimate that this is only ten per cent of the total class Insecta.

In a total count of Nature's children, we must include also the whopping whales and elephants, the medium sized birds and bunnies, fish and frogs. We also must include numbers of one celled protozoa and in this department the count has just begun. So far, the zoologists can identify more than a million different animals   and thousands are being added to the list every year.
