Who went up first in a balloon?

The very first balloonists were three farmyard animals ‑ a sheepp a duck and rooster; The sheep kicked the rooster and hurt his wing before takeoff but that was the only mishap. The balloon was filled with hot air rising from a fire below; It was painted in garish colors and went up before the ,fun‑loving court of France,

The ascent was made on the afternoon of September 19, The balloon rose 1500 feet, stayed aloft for 8 minutes and came down two miles away, The trial was organized by Joseph Motgolfier,
