Where is Glacier National Park?

This scenic wonderland straddles the border between Canada and the United States. The full name is the Glacier International Peace Park. Part of it is in southeastern Alberta and part in northwestern Montana. It also straddles the Continental Divide.

Glacier Park is a good name for this Alpine wonderland.. Though not high, its peaks are the sharpest and roughest in the whole continent. At one time the entire region was glacier. What remains of this ice is nestled between the peaks and numbers 60 fairly small glaciers.

The park also is dotted with vivid blue glacial lakes. There are about 200 of these lakes and the whole region teems with mountain goats, elk, moose, mule dear and other denizens of the lofty mountains
