Nancy Wilson age 9, of Columbia, or her question:
Who is Mother Natural
Mother Nature is just an expression, a term we use when we talk about all the wonderful things that go on in our world without any help from us. It describes the laws of nature which keep things going on this luxury planet of ours. In many ways, these laws do remind us of a bountiful mother. New life is always being born. Plants and animals must follow strict rules it they wish to survive. There are no favorites and these laws of nature provide a multitude of needs for a multitude of living things.
No person could 1ccrn all there is to know about nature in a hundred life times. The laws of nature are so big and so overwhelming that perhaps it is right to use a simple idea which everyone can understand. We all know very well that there is not a great lady who acts as mother to all living things. But perhaps it is best to speak of all those laws simple as Mother‑Nature.
