Who do we‑see as face on moon?
Sometimes the moon looks like a hard brass penny, Sometimes it looks like a pale, washed out handkerchief. But it never looks like a smooth, flat surface. It is mottled with dark and lighter patches. And the light and darker spots look for all the world like a face ‑the man in the moon saying, Oh:
Telescopes show that the face of the moon is far from smooth. In fact it is very rugged, There are deep holes here and jagged mountain tops there. The sun shines on the moon as it shines on the earth. It shines brighter, for there is no air, no clouds to soften it, And sunshine casts shadows, The shadows on the moon are even sharper than those on earth.
The mountains on the moon cast shadows deep enough to be seen from the earth. There are deep round holes on the moon. Some say that they were made by crashing meteors, These craters are often shrouded in the shade of high walls‑. They show up as dark circles on the moon. So, the face on the moon is an arrangement of sunlight and shadows
