How many volcanoes are still active?

In America, we have only two volcanoes that can be called active. This is Mount Lassen in California and Mount St. Helen in the Northwest. These are the only active volcano we have to show to tourists. Mount St. Helens erupted recently but it is many years since Mount Lassen put on a show. Volcanic eruptions can be dangerous and can cause death and destruction.
