Welcome to You Ask Andy

Al1en Davis, Age 13, Of Spokane, Wa.,For his question:

Which is the world's highest waterfall?

This tumbling cataract is in the Guiana mountains of Venezuela where the Impassable jungle tangles with impassable cliffs. The world's highest known spill of water is named Angel Falls, for the American aviator James Angel who spotted it while flying over the region in 1935•     In 1949, an American checked the place, and the thundering torrent was authentically measured. The frothing cataract plunges down a sheer cliff to a ledge sloping dawn to the jungle floor. The straight drop down the cliff is 2648 feet.

Then comes the swooping splash to the ground. The total height of angel fa11s is 3212 feet, which makes it 1000 feet higher than any other waterfall so far discovered.
