Who were the Spartans?

Their home was the city state of Sparta in ancient Greece. The spartans are remembered for their firm discipline and rigid way of life. To theme warfare fox its own sake was a noble aims and every boy of Sparta was trained above all to be a Soldier. About 700 b.c.., the military spartans set out to conquer the surrounding Territories of Greece. About 400 b.c., the city state of Athens was defeated, and all Greece was ruled By the harsh military minded Spartans. Their rule was short. The conquered people rebelled and in 371 B.C.. The Spartans were overthrown. But Sparta remained a strong city until all of Greece was defeated by Rome.
