Welcome to You Ask Andy

Bobby Skaroff, age 8, of Philadelphia PA. for his question;

Do any snakes live in the ocean?

Many different snakes live in the sea and come ashore only to lay their eggs, A few, it is believed, may bear their young alive and never come ashore at all. Most of these sea, snakes are between three aid, four feet long, though one of them is nine feet long. All of them have flattened tails, which makes swimming easier. They feed mostly on eels and other snaky‑shaped fish.

All the sea snakes are poisonous. However, they are very slow to bite and a swimmer usually has plenty of time to get out of the way.
