Where is the Eternal City?

The people who live there call it Roma, we call it Rome, capital city of Italy. Through out the world, many great cities have been built, become powerful and finally fallen into ruins. Few cities have remained great for more then two thousand years. Some 2,000 years ago, all of the known world was ruled by Rome and the great city is still one of the most important capital cities in the world.

The city of Rome was founded almost 3,000 years ago and became important soon thereafter. Since then it hgi( conquered and been conquered and ruled by many peoples. Nothing has entirely destroyed it or wiped it from the minds of civilized people  which is why it is called the Eternal Clty..
