Narnia to Kelly D. Reieh, age 8, of Wichita, Kan., for his question:
IS THERE ALWAYS A RING AROUND SATURN?
We need a telescope to view the golden rings around the planet Saturn. Nobody knows how long they have been there or how long they are expected to stay. But as we watch the big planet night after night, the rings seem to appear and disappear. Actually they are always there. But as Saturn orbits the sun, we see it tilted in different directions. Sometimes it is tilted to give us a grand view of the rings. Sometimes they look like tiny ears on the big planet.
