Gisele Williams, age 10, of Ephrata, Pa., for her question:
WHAT DOES A CENTIPEDE EAT?
The centipede is a born hunter, always scurrying around to catch himself a tasty dinner. His favorite food is insect meat, and almost any insect will do. He also eats spiders and, if he lives in the garden, he catches himself a small worm.
Some of the larger centipedes eat grasshopper size insects and even small mice. In any case, the centipede always dines on meat of some sort, and he catches his own food.
