Brian Johnson, age 10, of Omaha, Neb., for his question:
DO SNAILS HAVE EYES?
The snail craws along on his slippery tummy, carrying his neat round house on his back. As he slowpokes along, he holds his little head high and seems to be wearing two sets of spiky horns. Actually, the two tallest spikes are his eye stalks. Each one holds aloft a simple eye to survey the scenery. When he wishes, he can pull down his eye stalks... When the weather gets too hot or too cold, he curls up his whole body, tucks it inside his shell and seals the opening with a papery door.
