Paris Welch, age 9, of Charlotte, N.C., for her question:
WHY DO BULLS HATE RED?
For years and years they told us that a waving red flag would send a bull into a towering rage. Then the experts found out that bulls and other cattle are colorblind. They see only in shades of black and white. So a bull cannot hate red because he cannot see it. The truth is, he is a very bad tempered fellow who tends to fly into a fury when he sees something move. He charges at a waving flag or cape of any color, just because it is moving.
