WHY DO FARMERS PLANT BY THE MOON PHASES?
For countless ages many farmers have planted by the moon phases, perhaps thinking this gave the seeds a better start. Certain modern experts pooh pooh this whole idea but they could be wrong. It is not likely that the moon does much of anything to help the seeds. But the phases of the moon certainly help the farmer to remember how long the seeds have been planted. Sproutings should be up during the next full moon, and harvest is expected perhaps three or four full moons later.
