Lesley Warren, age 13, of Ottawa, Ont., Canada, for. her question:
WHERE DO FROGS GO IN WINTER?
At this time of year all the frogs are out of sight and we won't hear a peep from them until they start up their glee club choruses in the spring. They are hibernating, usually nestled in small burrows or buried in the mud. Frogs are cold blooded amphibians who depend on warmth from their surrounding to remain active. Come fall, they retire to small hideaways and sink into the deep deep sleep of hibernation.
