WHO INVENTED THE GAME OF CHESS?

The game of chess came from India. In the sixth century it found its way to Persia where it became very popular. When the Arbians took possession of Persia in the seventh century, they also took possession of chess as their favorite game.
The ancient Vikings, we have discovered, played chess very seriously. By the 11th century, they also took possession of chess as their favorite game.
The ancient Vikings, we have discovered, played chess very seriously. By the 11th century the game was enjoyed and appreciated all across Europe.
Early chess had great differences between it and the game played today. Chess as we know it now dates from the 16th century when the last rules change, "castling," was introduced.
The first international chess tournament took place in the 16th century when the Italian masters visited Spain. The Italians won.
