Jeff Girdley, age 11, of Danville, Ind., for his question:
DOES BIGFOOT REALLY EXIST?
There's a manlike creature said to be living in the mountains of California, Oregon, Washington or the province of British Columbia. Canadians call him Sasquatch and the Americans call him Bigfoot.
Bigfoot stories are much like those of the abominable snowman. The hairy creature is supposed to have been seen by hundreds of people. They say he is between seven and 10 feet tall and weighs as much as 500 pounds. Some say he looks like an ape and has thick fur, long arms, a short neck and powerful shoulders. He walks like a man and has 16 inch long footprints.
Scientists have not received enough convincing evidence to be able to back up the story that Bigfoot does indeed exist. So we'll just have to keep waiting and watching.
