Many battles were fought during Bible times near the town of Megiddo.
In 1918, the British under General Allenby defeated the Turks at Armageddon.
Archaeologists from the oriental institute in Chicago have found temples, jewelry, art objects and other valuable archaeological items at Armageddon.
